Some of the things on my wishlist...

A friend on Facebook commented this week that she kept adding to her wishlist as she was shopping for other people.  So these are some of the things I am adding to my list as I am doing my shopping for everyone else.  =)

1) Baking supplies:  I realized as I was trying to do some baking recently that I don't have some essentials.  Things like pastry brushes, a pastry cutter, or even a second cookie sheet (do you know how hard it is to bake cookies with only one cookie sheet?!).

3) Cute stuff for the house: I think house decorating must be a live long task because I feel like I am still working on it all.  But you know what, that's ok because I keep finding cute stuff that I want.  =)

3rd Deal til Christmas

It is the Christmas Eve Eve!  Is everyone else excited?!  I am very excited because in my family, we always open presents on Christmas Eve and then do stockings on Christmas morning.  So it will be really great to have another holiday in Hawaii with my family.  And this is what our Christmases look like.  =)  Santa and Mrs. Claus let their hair down, kick off their shoes, and enjoy the mild Hawaiian holiday!  My family and I plan on going down their ourselves and I'll put up my own pictures as soon as I get a chance.

So I am currently writing this post while sitting in an airplane! Today is the day I fly back to my beloved Hawaii with my hubby to spend the holidays with my fam! 8th Deal til Christmas

It is a rainy, cold, lovely weekend!  It has not gotten above 65 degrees in the last three days and it has been rather wonderful!  Now, some people would read those first two sentences and stop and look at me and get ready to call in a national emergency.  You see, I have a very low cold tolerance (I guess growing up in Hawaii thinned my blood a lot) and everyone knows it.  In college, I was rather humorous I think because I would rarely ever wear less than three layers in Southern California's mild winters which rarely get below 60 during the day.

The hubby and I went to Disneyland this two nights ago to see the decorations and everything.  And it was totally worth the crowds and the cold!!!  The pictures turned out well!  And you get to see the first outfit pic of mine that I've expressly taken for the purpose of use on this blog.  =)

We are getting so close!!!  And even closer, is the realization (for the fourth or fifth time this week) that I need to get my act together because I get to go home to Hawaii for Christmas!!!  And I am really excited to see my family and spend time with them before my brother ships out with the Army and life gets chaotic again.

I am introducing what I hope will become a holiday tradition of mine in my business.  =)  For each day of the month up to (and including Christmas Day), I will be featuring a different sale or special deal on Sense and Sensibility!

Operation Christmas Shopping for Family: Sixth Status Report

So I have been working on Christmas shopping for a lot of people and I actually took the plunge and started purchasing things today!  A large part of the reason is that I realized that it is only one week away from Thanksgiving and once that day is gone, things go from busy to CRAZY busy.  But at least I have started.  And I actually started by buying some gifts that you have not yet seen in my Operation Christmas Shopping series yet!

Today, I am working on my father-in-law.  He has been so great and welcoming to me since the hubby and I have been married but he is like a lot of dads - potentially hard to shop for.  Now, thanks to our marvelous and wonderful Etsy, I have found a few things that I think he will like.

He is such a popcorn nut!  Sometimes, we will just have finished dinner and he is already in the kitchen making a big bowl of amazingly buttery and salty goodness.  And he insists on melting and drizzling real butter.  It's the only way to do it he says. =)

And then I saw this.  The tag, literally says, "Man Bowl".  How perfect!  My father-in-law loves snacks and things generally considered "junk food".  Amoung them is ice cream.  This will be a great new ice cream bowl for him!

And in addition to the popcorn and ice cream,  sweets are generally his thing.  The nice thing is that it makes a great gift for him because he doesn't always buy them for himself.  So when I saw this wonderful brownie deliciousness, I had a feeling it would be perfect.  =)  I kind of want one for myself now too.
