WiSh LiSt!!!

I love creating.  I know I keep saying that but it helps me to remember why I am doing this and keep myself going.  But I also love looking at other artists and making my own wishlist.  So here are a few items from my personal Etsy wishlist.  =)

1) I LOVE this bag - it is one of the items I've been saving up for the longest.  And I'm pretty sure I want it in that color but she has so many beautiful items and colors that I have yet to definitely decide on one.  Which is also part of why I have yet to get one.

2) This jeweler is another Hawaii girl who makes some beautiful pieces and I love her stackable ring sets!  I'm eyeing some her blue combinations for before the summer is over.

3)  This belt is adorable!  I love wearing solid color dresses so I can accessorize in other ways and this belt is definitely high on my list!

4)  I have a thing for peacock feathers.  I also have a thing for clutches.  This seller does both and I want it.  =)

5)  I know more than a few people (myself included) who have a hard time keeping plants alive.  Now I don't have to worry about that with this item!  I can't get over how cute it is!

I think that is a good healthy start to my wish list.  It is always growing so I will keep you all updated when I get new things added to my list!

Have a beautiful day!

P.S.  One of my friends modeled some of my pieces a little while ago and I thought she looked beautiful so I wanted to share this picture with you.

What is this all about?

So I have read many blogs and there are more than a few that I really like.  And I tend to read the blogs of people that I wish I could be like (this is one of my favorites).

I think part of the appeal of crafting for me is that I can be an artist with a fair amount of anonymity.  Don't get me wrong, if someone really loved my designs and wanted to make it big, I would probably be ecstatic.  However, that isn't really my goal at this point.  I am an office manager who simply dreams of bigger things than the amount of mail I get to open in a week.  So I want something more...but I'm not about to quit my day job and go around applying for jobs that I am fairly certain I can't get.  But making jewelry and selling on Etsy is my smaller dream.  It is my shot at that something more that a lot of us keep reaching for.  And I can do it slowly, at my own pace, safely, and without significant economic strain from the comfort of my own home.

So this blog...this anonymous shout out to the world...is my expression of the dream I hope many of you will pursue - even in small and anonymous ways.

I'm back!

After a bit of a hiatus (life gets crazy!), I am back at my computer and looking for inspiration and motivation.

I find that if I'm not careful, I get sucked into the wonderful world of Etsy! Almost anything you could possibly want, you can find on this site! So I start looking for one thing and get side-tracked to another. And then I start getting a little discouraged because everyone else is so much more talented than I am! But I love looking and dreaming that maybe someday, I will be as amazing as these other people!

But I have come across some great summer items and vendors on Etsy and am just going to list a few of them here for you:
-> "Water Gemstone Stackable Rings": I am in LOVE with these colors! If you don't like them...I don't know what to say. =)
-> "Ultra Thin Braided Leather Wristlets": Once again, loving the colors! And I love leather but sometimes have a hard time finding items that are more classic in that material. I think this seller does an awesome job at it!
-> "Tall Quilted Soap Dispenser": People have the greatest ideas! This seller upcycled jam jars into soap dispensers! I think it is a great easy bathroom addition for a bit of change at a little price!
And what kind of girl would I be if I didn't include something sweet and cute for summer wear!
-> "Marilyn Dress Ready to Ship": I have to admit, I have a weakness for halter style dresses and feel in love with how easy to wear this one looks! The color is a favorite shade of blue too. =)

So there are a few of my recommendations for summer splurges. They are some of the top items on my list!

Have a beautiful day, everyone...
